How to Manage the Deer Survey Feature
Moultrie is pleased to introduce a new app feature called "Deer Survey," which offers an entirely new way of conducting Deer Surveys! A traditional deer survey requires dozens of hours of manual analysis, while Moultrie's "Deer Survey" feature uses Smart Tag technology to allow users to gather the data needed with minimal effort and planning.
What is a Deer Survey?
A deer survey is a method used to estimate the population size, structure, and distribution of deer within a specific area. These surveys provide valuable insights into herd dynamics, including the ratio of bucks to does, fawn recruitment, and overall population trends. Data collected helps land managers, hunters, and conservationists make informed decisions about habitat management, hunting quotas, and wildlife conservation strategies. By understanding deer populations, stakeholders can maintain a healthy balance between wildlife and their ecosystems.
