Troubleshooting

Experience issues with your EDGE Series Security Box II? Run through the troubleshooting below for most issues.

Camera Does Not Fit in Enclosure

  1. Verify that your camera model is compatible with the EDGE Series Security Box II. Refer to the product packaging or the Moultrie website for the compatibility list.
  2. Remove any attached accessories from the camera (external antenna adapters, accessory ports) that may prevent it from fitting into the enclosure.

Poor Image Quality / Blurry Images

  1. Open the security box and inspect the lens opening for dirt, moisture, or scratches on the lens cover.
  2. Clean the lens cover with a soft, lint-free cloth.
  3. Ensure the camera lens is properly aligned with the opening in the front of the box.

Security Box Will Not Close / Latch

  1. Ensure the camera is fully seated inside the enclosure and no cables are being pinched in the door.
  2. Check for any debris or obstructions in the door hinge or latch mechanism and clear as needed.

Security Box Is Loose on the Tree

  1. Retighten the mounting hardware and check that the strap or mounting arm is secured firmly against the tree.
  2. Inspect the mounting hardware for damage or wear. Replace if necessary.

Camera Is Not Functioning Inside the Box

  1. Remove the camera from the security box and test it outside the enclosure to determine if the issue is with the camera or the box.
  2. If the camera functions normally outside the box, check for any cables being pinched or obstructed inside the enclosure.
  3. If the camera does not function outside the box, refer to the appropriate camera troubleshooting article for your model.
