Troubleshooting

If your camera will not power on, follow the steps below to resolve.

 

Step 1 — Check Batteries

Install one of Moultrie's Rechargeable Battery Packs to save. Or insert a brand-new full set of 8-16 AA batteries. Do not mix old and new cells or different brands.

Recommended:  Moultrie's Rechargeable Battery Packs to save.

  • Insert a fresh, brand-new set of batteries. Never use partially-used or mixed sets.
  • Energizer & Moultrie brands are recommended. Lithium batteries perform best in cold weather.

Step 2 — Inspect the Battery Tray

  • Remove the battery tray and inspect the contact points for corrosion, damage, or debris.
  • Clean contacts with a dry cloth if needed.
  • Re-insert the tray firmly and power ON.

If It Still Won’t Power On

Please send in images of the following:

  • All sides of the camera, including the top and bottom of the battery tray (contact points must be clearly visible).

Please record a short video and include the following:

  • Inserting the NEW recommended batteries used during troubleshooting.
  • The full power-on sequence (any lights/indicators that appear).
