Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I update the firmware?
A: You don't have to. As long as your camera is connecting normally, updates download and install automatically.
Q: My camera hasn't connected in a few days. Will it still get the update?
A: No — the camera must be actively connecting to receive updates. If it's been offline for more than 25 hours, visit the camera to reboot it and restore the connection, then the update can proceed.
Q: How much battery does a firmware update need?
A: A minimum of 25% battery is required to take a firmware update.
Q: How strong does the signal need to be?
A: As long as the camera can connect at all, it has enough signal to receive an update.
Q: What do I do if the update seems stuck?
A: During an update, the LEDs will flash and the camera will power off and restart — this is normal. Don't interrupt it. If it seems stuck after 15+ minutes, perform a battery tray reset (remove tray, wait 10 seconds, reinsert).
