Not getting notified when new photos arrive? This is almost always a phone or app settings issue, not a camera issue. Work through these steps in order.
1. Check App Notification Settings
In the Moultrie Mobile app, confirm that notifications are enabled for your camera. For a step-by-step guide, search "Manage My Notifications" in the Moultrie Help Center.
2. Update the Moultrie Mobile App
Outdated apps are a common cause of missing notifications.
- Tap the Profile icon (top left) → About to see your current version.
- Check the App Store or Google Play for an available update and install it.
3. Update Your Phone's OS
Go to your phone's Settings → Software Update and install any pending updates. Outdated iOS or Android can break push notifications.
4. Sign Out of the App, Clear Cache, Reinstall
Do these steps in order:
- Sign out: Profile icon → Sign Out.
- Clear cache:
- Android: Settings → Storage → Other Apps → Moultrie Mobile → Clear Cache & Clear Storage.
- Galaxy: Settings → Apps → Moultrie Mobile → Storage → Clear Data & Clear Cache.
- iPhone: Settings → Safari → Clear History and Website Data. (iOS 18+: Settings → Apps → Safari.)
- Delete the Moultrie app. (Your data is saved in the cloud — nothing is lost.)
- Restart your phone.
- Reinstall Moultrie Mobile and sign back in.
5. Toggle Phone Connection
Switch between Wi-Fi and cellular data (or vice versa) a stuck connection can block app notifications from coming through.
