300LB Metal Broadcast Feeder (SKU/Product #: MFG-15129)

Having trouble getting power?

Troubleshooting

  • Use a fully charged Moultrie 12V Rechargeable Feeder Battery or equivalent 12V Lead Acid/SLA battery. A 6V or spring-top battery is not compatible and will not power the feeder.
  • Verify the RED wire is on POSITIVE (+) and BLACK wire is on NEGATIVE (−). Reversed connections prevent the timer from powering on.
  • A new battery is not always a good battery. Test with a known-working battery if the problem continues.
  • Attempt a reset: hold the RESET button on the back of the Universal Digital Timer III (UDT3) module for 30 seconds, then reprogram.
  • If using the solar panel, always connect the battery FIRST before attaching the solar.
  • Cold weather significantly reduces battery output. In freezing temperatures, the timer display may go blank, or the spinner may stop. Warm the battery or replace it.
  • Inspect the battery compartment for corrosion or moisture. Clean terminals with a dry cloth before reconnecting.
  • Confirm the antenna is still attached to the timer; a missing antenna exposes the assembly to weather and can affect the whole unit, not just Bluetooth.
NOTE: No power to the timer also means no Bluetooth. If the timer won't power on, the feeder will not appear in the Moultrie app. Resolve power first, then re-pair if needed.
