Navigate to Pin

Ever walked to your stand in the dark and second-guessed every turn? Navigate to Pin gives you a compass and a distance count to any pin on your map: your stand, your camera, or a spot you dropped yourself. Follow the arrow, watch the yards count down, and find your way there and back.

What you need

  • A pin already placed on your Moultrie App map: a stand, camera, feeder, or custom pin.
  • A GPS-enabled device. Most current Moultrie cameras have GPS. Edge, Edge Pro, and Edge 2 do not, so you won't be able to navigate to those specific camera pins.

Navigate to a pin

  1. Open the Maps tab and tap any pin.
  2. Tap Navigate to. Your screen switches to the compass view, and the pin becomes your target.
  3. Follow the arrow. The compass ribbon across the top shows your heading, and the banner in the middle counts down your distance in yards.

While you're navigating

  • Live Tracking: your heading, distance, and speed update in real time. End navigation any time with one tap.
  • Drop Pins on the Fly: see a good spot on your walk? Add a new pin without losing your route.
  • Map Layers: switch between aerial, topo, and hybrid views mid-walk.
  • Smart Arrival: get within 15 yards of your pin, and the app lets you know you've arrived.

Save your route

When you end navigation, the app asks if you want to save the trip as a track. Tap Yes, Save and it remembers your route, your time, your distance, and your average speed, and drops a start pin so you can retrace your steps on the way out.

Good ways to use it

  • Walk straight to your stand in the dark. No flashlight scouting required.
  • Find a camera or feeder when you only remember it being somewhere over there.
  • Save the walk out as a track and never lose the way back to your truck.

FAQ

Why can't I navigate to my camera?

Navigate to Pin needs a GPS-enabled device to set an accurate location. Edge, Edge Pro, and Edge 2 don't have GPS, so those cameras won't show up as a navigation target. Every other current Moultrie camera does.

Does it work for pins I create myself, not just cameras?

Yes. Any pin on your map, a stand, a scrape, a blood trail marker, anything you drop, works with Navigate to Pin.

What happens to my saved tracks?

They stay on your map as a route, named after the pin you walked to, so you can navigate it again next time.
