Q: Are the battery packs waterproof?
A: Battery pack s are not waterproof when not installed in a camera. They are reliant on the camera for weather protection and should not be left outside on their own.
Q: Why is there a USB cable included?
A: We recommend fully charging the battery pack using the included USB-C cable before you installing it in the camera.
Q: Does it come fully charged?
A: The battery packs have a partial charge out of the box, but we recommend fully charging it by using the included USB-C cable before use. Check the charge level by pressing the “check battery” button.
Q: How can I tell if it’s fully charged / partially charged?
A: Check the charge level by pressing the battery level indicator button on the battery packs to see the charge level at any time. You’ll see LEDs that light up that show the charge level, from 1 (0-25%) to 4 (75-100%).
Q: How long does it take to fully charge?
A: For the Power Mag, it takes 2 hours to fully charge using a USB-C charger, for the Power Mag +, it takes 4 hours.
Q: Can I use a solar panel with the Power Mag?
A: Yes, you can use solar power such as Moultrie's 3.4w or 10w Solar Power Packs in conjunction with the Power Mag. Please keep in mind, solar panels are NOT designed to recharge the Power Mag or Power Mag + Battery Packs.
