Feed schedules allow you to remotely set times for the feeder to run. These schedules can be adjusted at any time using your app. Please see below for some frequently asking questions around Feed Schedules.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: How do I set a Feed Schedule?
A: Two default times are pre-configured daily, 6 am and 7 pm. However, you have the option to program up to 10 feed times per day, or you can utilize the sunrise and sunset feed options.
- Tap Devices, then tap your Feed Hub device.
- Tap Feed Time Scheduler to open the setting.
- Add a New Feed Time, deactivate a current feed time, or
- Updates to your settings will change in the app immediately, but it may take up to an hour for your feeder to receive them.
- To utilize the Sunrise and Sunset feed option, you must pin your feeder on our in-app map in order for it to pick up the sunrise and sunset times.
- In addition, you are able to adjust the Sunrise and Sunset feed times slightly if desired to run up to one hour before or after sunrise or sunset.
Q: How can I tell that the feeder is running on the scheduled times?
A: When viewing your Feed Hub in the app, there is a date/time of the last successful feed time.
Q: When I change a feed time, when will that change take effect?
A: Changes to feed schedules are updated at the next previously scheduled feed time. For example, if you change the schedule at 4 pm, and your feeder is scheduled to go off at 6 pm, then any new changes will be applied at the 6 pm connection. This is because your Feed Hub Timer will check for settings updates when it runs.
Q: What if my feeder is in a different time zone?
A: The feed times will be based on the local time of the Feed Hub device, not for you or your phone.
Q: My Feed Hub is on the border of 2 time zones, What happens then?
A: With auto-connect technology, your Feed Hub is always searching to utilize the strongest signal in the area. Therefore, you could see some swapping between time zones if your feeder is connecting to different towers in different time zones.
Q: What happens with my feed schedules on Daylight Savings time?
A: When daylight savings time occurs, you may need to review and adjust your feed schedules. The feeder will automatically read time changes on the nearest cell tower it's connecting to.
