Moultrie is proud to introduce the all-new Feed Hub! The Feed Hub Timer replaces the existing timer in your spin-cast feeder and uses a Feed Level Detector to detect how much feed remains in the hopper. The Feed Level Detector measures the remaining feed using a sensor and communicates that information to the Feed Hub Timer. The Feed Hub Timer controls the motor and uses cellular technology to send information to you via the Moultrie app, allowing you to control the motor speed and duration remotely. WHAT IS FEED HUB
Q: What is Feed Hub Universal?
A: Feed Hub Universal comes with two main components, the timer module, and feed level detector (FLD). This system can be installed into a Moultrie or other brand feeder kit by replacing the factory timer, allowing the user to REMOTELY set feed times and duration, see battery levels, feed levels, and run the feeder on demand.
Feed Hub’s feed level detector (FLD) is mounted under the lid of the feeder hopper and measures the level of feed in the hopper. This system removes the factory-installed timer/interface from the kit itself. Installation of Feed Hub saves the user time and money and allows them to be better prepared to service their feeder in the field. Feed Hub must have an active subscription via Moultrie to control the feeder and see the status of the feeder.
Q: What is a Feed Hub Kit?
A: Feed Hub Kit is a feeder kit with our Feed Hub Universal already installed on it. It includes a feeder kit with an integrated, cellular timer, as well as a feed level detector (FLD). This system can be installed onto compatible Moultrie feeders, and some custom hoppers, and allows the user to REMOTELY set feed times and duration, see battery levels, feed levels, and run the feeder on demand.
Q: What is Deer Feeder Pro II?
A: Deer Feeder Pro II is a fully connected, cellular feeder. It includes everything you need to set up a cellular feeder, including a 30-gallon hopper, a Feed Level Detector, and the Feed Hub Kit.
Q: How is Feed Hub Universal like the timer that’s already in my feeder/feeder kit?
A: Feed Hub Universal has a cellular timer that replaces the timer on most spin-cast feeder kits on the market today. You can set custom feed time schedules, the RPM or motor speed, and set up to 10 feed times per day.
Q: How is Feed Hub different / better than the digital timer I already have?
A: Feed Hub uses cellular connectivity that allows you to check on your feeder and control it from anywhere. Feed Hub + the Moultrie app allows you to check the feeder’s remaining feed and battery levels, set and adjust feed schedules, and feed on demand – all from your smartphone.
CELLULAR CONNECTIVITY
Q: What is auto-connect / Nationwide coverage?
A: Auto Connect technology detects and connects to the strongest signal from multiple nationwide cell carriers, giving your connected feeder performance in remote areas. No specific network required.
Q: How does it work?
A: Like your cell phone, most cellular trail cameras or devices have a SIM card that gets cell coverage from a single provider, like AT+T. Feed Hub’s SIM card gets cell coverage from multiple carries of all 4 major U.S. networks and prioritizes and connects to the strongest one.
Q: What carriers does it work on?
A: Feed Hub works on all 4 major U.S. networks, including Verizon, AT+T, T-Mobile and US Cellular. It will automatically connect to the network with the strongest signal.
Q: How do I know if Feed Hub will work in my area?
A: Feed Hub works on all 4 major U.S. cellular networks using our Auto-Connect technology, so it has broad coverage all over the U.S. It will automatically connect to the network with the strongest signal. In the event your Feed Hub doesn’t connect, contact our Customer Success team for help and resolution.
Q: Can I see what network it’s connected to?
A: No, Feed Hub operates in a dynamic manner, constantly assessing the strength of available networks and switching to the one with the best signal quality. This ensures that Feed Hub maintains optimal connectivity at all times, regardless of the specific carrier network it is currently utilizing.
Q: How does Feed Hub work with time zones and Daylight Savings Time?
A: All times set in the Moultrie app will be used according to the Feed Hub’s local time. (Ex. Setting a feed time at 7am will result in the Feed Hub dispensing feed at 7am according to its current location.) When a Feed Hub moves from one time zone to another, or Daylight Savings Time begins or ends, Feed Hub automatically updates its time. An active subscription is required for Feed Hub to update its time zone and schedule.
Q: The carrier on my Moultrie app or account says “NW.” What does NW mean?
A: NW stands for Nationwide coverage. This means the device works on multiple networks.
