Activate a Device

Once you’ve created your Moultrie account, you will need to activate your camera and then connect it to the network to start receiving pictures.  Watch our video below to see the process first hand, or continue reading for step by step instructions.

 

Activating From the App

1.  Open your Moultrie app and log in with your email address and password, if requested.

2.  Click the Profile icon from the top left of your screen.

3.  Click Activate Device and follow the instructions to pick your plan.

 

Please Note:  Each device requires it's own plan.

Pro Tips:

  • When using the app, you can enter the modem ID and serial number manually or simply scan the barcode located inside the door panel of your camera.
  • If there is only a serial number and no modem ID you will need a field modem to take advantage of our mobile feature. We no longer produce field modems but one may be available through a local retailer or online.
  • If you receive the error "This device has changed status in the last 30 minutes", please give us a call for assistance if you would rather not wait.
  • If you receive the error "Device is already in use", this indicates the camera was previously activated on another account and was not fully removed. Please give us a call for assistance.

 

Activating From the Website

1.  Go to moultrie.com and login with your email address and password.

2.  Click My Account in the top right corner of the page.

3.  Click Activate Device and follow the instructions to pick your plan.
